Overall purpose of the job

To provide day to day and project support to the Solution Development department (consisting of 3 team members and a manager).  The department is responsible for identifying, developing and implementing new non-print business for an international printing company.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities

• Support the team with the following types of activities:

• Research (c. 40% of time)= Chiefly desk research using the web to find out about customers, products, competitors, events, industry trends etc.

• Document preparation (c. 40% of time)= Producing documentation (using MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel) to summarise research findings, or to present other information relevant to new business development.

• Project-specific support (c.20% of time)= The nature of this activity will depend on the specific project. We expect a combination of research and document preparation, but flexibility is needed to respond to the exact demands of that project.
